Our week in the Mountains

The week before Kate started school we decided to go play in the mountains for an entire week! It was SO NICE to relax and have fun in the cooler weather. We went golfing, fishing, went to movies, and just played outside every second we could get. It was a lot of fun, and I think we're going to have to make it a summer tradition!

Max's Birthday!!

I apologize for my blog being scattered and out of order lately.  I'm so behind!

Max turned 3 on the 19th of July.  *sniff*  Why are my babies getting so big lately???  We had a small family party for him.   We started off by playing in the new splash pad!  Then we came back home for games, dinner, and birthday cake!

Max is absolutely OBSESSED with the show Rescue Bots.  If you haven't heard of it, it's Transformers, but for little kids.  It's a super cute show and Max watches it every spare second he can.  I wanted so badly to give him an awesome Rescue Bots birthday.  I feel like with the new baby, and Kate going to school, I just really wanted to spoil Max and give him a great birthday.  I went to SEVEN different stores looking for the Rescue Bots that he wanted, but they were all sold out.  There were no Rescue Bot decorations, so I had to go with Transformers.  He, of course, didn't care, but you know how you get an idea in your mind and it doesn't turn out the way you want it to?  That's how I feel about his party.  But he LOVED it so I guess that's what matters.

We played pin the logo(?) on Heat Wave.  Heat Wave is the firetruck transformer.

We had a pinata!  The kids had so much fun with this!

Then we had presents and cake.  He got an Optimus Prime sword, an Optimus Prime truck, a Chase rescue bot (okay so I found SOME rescue bots stuff, it just wasn't what he'd been begging for), a Cars bowling pin set, and a spiderman figurine and car.

I love you so much Max!  I can't believe you are 3.

Splash Pad

We got a splash pad out here in Queen Creek, and it is AWESOME!  It's so fun to have something like this so close to us.  We will be here ALL the time!

Stats

I think these are the pictures I took as Jack's 6 month pictures.  Time is going way too fast!  Tomorrow he'll already be 7 months.

It just so happens that when I took Jack in for his 6 month appointment, I took all the kids in for their yearly checkups so here is the stats on all of them.

Kate: 43" 43lbs
Max: 38" 32 lbs
Jack: 27" 21 lbs

I don't remember the percentages, but I do remember that Jack is in like the 96th for weight, and Max was really skinny.  I've got one boy who loves to eat, and one boy who's picky!

Only 2 more inches and Max is tall enough for Disneyland rides!  We may just have to go again!

Kindergarten Kate

This just happened:

I can't believe I have a child in school now!  She is just so big.  I had tried to brace myself for weeks for this big change, but I still cried when I dropped her off on the first day!  I was totally fine that morning while I was getting her ready and driving to school.  We all took her in to the playground.  She was shy at first, but then decided to go play with the other kids.  She slowly walked onto the playground, and it took her a bit, but then she started talking to another little girl.  Then she turned back at me and gave me the biggest happiest smile.  She was so glad to have already made a friend.  That's when I started getting emotional.  I made it through flag ceremony, and walking her to class, but when she sat down in her desk I lost it.  When did she get so big??  She was so excited though, she didn't even care that mommy was crying, she was just so happy to be there!

Good luck at school this year Kate!  You are going to do awesome!
